The Smith-Waite tarot calls this card the Emperor, but this does not tell anything about his name, his history or his mythology. To understand the full impact of this card, it is important to know that the Arcanum of the Emperor is connected to the month of Aries wherin the feast of Easter is celebrated, it is connected to the mythological Sacrifice of the Corn King. These mysteries are described in many stories, among which the Parzifal from Wolfram von Eschenbach. Here we find the story of the wounded Fisher King:
Enter into a guided meditation of 45 minutes and experience the mystery of the Wounded King.
The Meditation on the Fisher King: “You raise from your cubical throne and grab your sword to defend yourself, but before you stand upright, a knight in black armour pushes the lance into your groins with an enormous thwarck. You fall to the ground and roll back and forth, desperately trying to protect a deep bleeding wound ….”
The Fisher King is also available an artwork. It is a part of Ina’s tarot deck “The Book of Caves”. It can be ordered as a print on perspex or on canvas. It can serve as an altar piece for private meditations, personal ritual work and as a focal point for group work and teaching.
