Description

The Tarotcard The Lovers is connected to the constellation Gemini. The teachings related to The Lovers, refer to the esoteric teachings about the Twin Souls. The constellation Gemini is often connected to Castor and Pollux, the heavenly twins, But narrowing the teachings concerning Gemini and The Lovers solely to this constellation is a too limited viewpoint.

In the esoteric literature there are many teachings about Twin Souls. They often the cause for a lot confusion in new age circles: the Twin Soul is often used as an excuse for an obsessive infatuation. The original teaching of the Twin Soul is, that it is a part of your Self. Like the Gods and Goddesses, nature spirits and even daimons are a part of you, so is the Twin Soul.
